South African First Responder Chaplaincy (SAFReC) – Member Information Hub

As a dedicated member of the South African First Responder Chaplaincy (SAFReC), I commit to serving our community, fellow members, and a broken world with integrity, honour, respect, dignity, and courage, guided by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and the teachings of the Bible.

  • I serve SAFReC as a proud and loyal volunteer citizen of the Republic of South Africa.

  • I uphold and respect the democratic values and political processes of our nation.

  • I will act in the best interest of SAFReC, its members, partners, and affiliated organizations, and will never cause them harm through words or actions.

  • I accept full responsibility for my own conduct and, when in leadership, for those under my guidance.

  • I will support and treat all individuals fairly, with kindness and mutual respect.

  • As a follower of Jesus Christ, I acknowledge His light in my life and commit to spreading His Gospel through my actions and service as a Chaplain.

  • I will carry out my duties with courage, offering support to fellow Chaplains even at personal cost or risk.

  • I will treat every person with fairness and uphold their dignity and rights—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, culture, language, or sexual orientation.

  • I will never misuse my authority, position, or SAFReC resources for personal, political, or unethical gain.

  • I distance myself from criminal activity, offensive or abusive language, and any behavior that could discredit the Gospel of Jesus Christ or bring SAFReC into disrepute.

  • I will report criminal conduct, corruption, or misconduct within SAFReC to the proper authorities.

  • I will respect and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), ensuring the privacy and safeguarding of personal information.

  • I will strive to strengthen SAFReC by maintaining godly discipline, protecting resources, improving my knowledge and skills, and carrying out my duties with diligence and professionalism.
